Prep Tail Surfaces

7/12/22 – Getting the tail feathers ready for priming.  Needed to do final assembly on them, make cross pieces fit better and put epoxy on the joints.   We decided to use the supplied foam strips to supplement the thinner cross pieces. Worked 4 hours.

In retrospect, getting the hangar at the Middleton airport didn’t work out well for our construction.  We worked on it way more when it was in my garage.  I had that hangar for nearly 2 years and we didn’t do much.  This was one of our rare work days.

Trial fit wings – 7/15/17

Thanks to Sam Hurley for helping us, we needed 3 people! It’s a good idea to try putting the wings on before you fabric cover them.  It helps you remember anything that is missing! No wings yet One wing on The plane will tip over with only one wing attached. Both wings on!
